Maring-Noviand is a 1600 inhabitant municipality in the heart of the Mosel region in the "Verbandsgemeinde" Bernkastel-Kues, characterized by the beauty of its landscape and viticulture.
Oh Kabinett Mosel Riesling was produced from one of the Jakoby Families vineyards, within the "Honigberg" (Honey Hill).
The Maring-Noviander Honigberg is characterized by grey and blue Devonian slate soils that provide the wines with a strong mineral structure. Southwest facing, a typical pitch of 55 - 65 degrees for perfect sun and wind exposure. The wines from these soils have a distinct "honey-comb" and "tropical" nose.
